TAX SERVICES
The firm specializes in partnership, corporate and individual taxation. By handling our business clients books during the year, we are able to tax plan during and near year end to minimize tax and achieve financial goals instead of the traditional model of doing this work after year end. For our individual clients where we do not handle a business for them, we also take an ongoing approach to understand their financial and tax situation during the year.
We take pride in knowing that when one of our client's tax returns are filed that the client understands the types of tax they are subject to as well as how their balances due or refunds are calculated. Through screenshare meetings we walk the clients through their financials and tax returns.
We provide partnership, corporate, individual, not-for profit and estate and trust returns at affordable, reasonable rates. As a firm specializing in the needs of small businesses and their owners we understand the needs to control costs and overhead and work with our clients to provide services within their budget.
AUDIT SUPPORT
We also provide audit support to all of our clients as part of their engagement with the firm. We will always work with the client to defend any tax position the client has taken while working with the firm. We do not sign off on tax returns where we feel our clients positions can not be defended. The firm also provides audit support for new clients who be dissatisfied with their current accounting firm's level of service.
ASSISTING WITH FINANCING
Michael Steirman, the managing partner at the firm specializes in helping growing businesses obtain the course of financing that is best suited for their needs (if necessary). In today's environment where the banks are hesitant to loan to small businesses, Mr. Steirman utilizes his relationship with business development companies, such as the NYBDC, to assist clients growth through intelligent financing. Mr. Steirman also assists clients in projecting cash flow and income for all types of businesses. There are no profit sharing arrangements between the lenders which the firm works with and the firm and the motivation of the firm to assist is to work with a financially stronger and more successful client.
PARTNERSHIP/EQUITY CONSULTING
Mr. Steirman is also an expert in partnership and shareholder agreements and equity arrangements between partners and shareholders. Having worked through many financial arrangements between partners and shareholders, he can advise how to properly structure financial issues such as compensation and profit sharing within an entity. The firm also prepares partnership and shareholder agreements which are targeted to the client's needs through close interaction with the client during the process. These agreements are done at a cost which is generally much less than an attorney and with more involvement.
ENTITY FORMATION
The firm forms over 100 Companies a year and is set to advise you on whether an LLC, S Corporation, Corporation or Sole Proprietorship would be best fit for your new business. We form the proper entity in any state at a reasonable cost based on understanding the tax and financial implications of the entity choice. We can also do your Partnership or Shareholders agreement and provide related consulting.
